George Solar × NuNorthern Soul: five years of sun, moon, dub and collaboration, from Los Rayos Del Sol to the complete Moonbeams In Dub series.

George Solar’s Moonbeams In Dub is a three-part remix series that hands the original Moonbeams material to a close-knit group of producers for fresh, spacious and rhythm-led reinterpretations. Featuring Tribilin Sound, Marshall Watson, Ken Fan, Dubvisionist, Razoof, Roots Artefact, Mike Alcaras and Silvio Astier, the series explores dub as a mindset: bass, space, restraint and freedom to reshape.

Roots Artefact returns to NuNorthern Soul with *Rocking Boat EP*, a six-track journey through Balearic dub, warm downtempo rhythms and spacious, effects-heavy production. To mark the release, we caught up with Estonian producer Saimon to talk Tallinn studio life, King Tubby, basslines, dub culture, and how the Roots Artefact sound found its way into the NuNorthern Soul world.
