hil Cooper has been playing records since the early ’90s, building a steady reputation for his wide-ranging, Balearic-minded selections. As the founder of NuNorthern Soul, he’s spent the past decade and more sharing music that blurs boundaries, releasing records from artists around the world while keeping close ties to Ibiza, where he’s now based. Whether behind the decks or running the label, Phil’s focus has always been on music that stands the test of time, with depth and feeling.

The Genesis of the Selected Works Series
The Selected Works series on NuNorthern Soul began as a practical response to a stalled compilation project. What started with direct collaboration with Ryo Kawasaki evolved into a selective framework for revisiting important catalogues through trust, access and dialogue.
